If I am able to create a welcoming space where individuals can express themselves without the weight of judgement, especially their own, then it was a good day! As it turned out, this particular Friday ended up being a good day π

It was a beautiful Friday night Prom. Ant and I danced together – moving forward and backwards in sync, holding eye contact, smiling at each other. With his permission I took his crown from behind his seat and put it back on his head.

“Aladdin” – The Bollywood Chapter
It was a vibrant spectacle with carefully curated music and dance routines. A treat to watch, each and every piece of the 1.5 hour long show felt complete and powerful on itβs own, and together it told the tale of Aladdin and Jasmine beautifully!

The recently concluded National Library Week (Apr 7 – 13, 2019) had me reflecting on how libraries have allowed me to be in service of diverse groups of people right in their own neighborhoods. Through our CBDP Programs hosted at various libraries in the NJ-PA-DE tristate area I have met, and danced with, individuals of all ages and from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
